NoPa, which stands for “North of the Panhandle” is the neighborhood northeast of Golden Gate Park. It's central proximity makes it easy to find great dining opportunities. Here are 3 great restaurants in NoPa that are worth stopping at if you are visiting the Bay Area. 4505 Burgers & BBQ (705 Divisadero St.) 4505 Burgers & BBQ is a fun barbecue place where you can enjoy delicious food until late at night. The star of the show is the smoked meat! They serve large portions of pork, brisket, and chicken and you can even choose sides like fries, salads, pickles, and buttered Parker House rolls. They also offer some veggie options including an oat and egg sandwich with roasted veggies and cheese, in addition to the buttered bread. However, this place is primarily known for its meat! They are one of few real wood-fired barbecue restaurants in San Francisco and they make it a point to locally source their meat from farmers every day. Barrel Head Brewhouse (1785 Fulton St.) As one of the oldest beer bars in NoPa, Barrel Head Brewhouse serves over 40 beers as well as cocktails. They also offer a bottomless mimosa brunch for only $20 before 2:30 p.m. Definitely try the guest beer, which is a unique blend of IPA and dark beer. Their brunch menu consists of traditional American offerings including bacon and scrambled eggs with sourdough toast and French toast with strawberry whipped cream and jam. Join us before the bar closes early on Thursdays at 9 p.m. for $2 off select beers!

Brenda's Meat and Three (919 Divisadero St.)

New Orleans native Brenda Buenviaje infuses Southern cooking with a unique touch at Brenda's Meat and Three. Her strategy is both creative and delicious: select one meat and three sides from a variety of changing options. Each day offers new home-style meals. Brenda’s also serves Southern classics like fried chicken, fried fish, and gravy-covered chicken-fried steak.

Leave room for the beets and New Orleans-style fried pastries. They come in sweet versions with chocolate or cinnamon-honey butter, and savory options with chili, scallions, and cheddar cheese.
